Cherie Curtis
Chapter Director
With a heart for families and the underserved, Cherie brings a decade of leadership in volunteer-based initiatives to this position. Cherie is committed to leading our chapter to establish a trusted presence in our community with referral partners, local churches, and donors, to mobilize volunteers to serve, and ultimately, to see more families find safety and stability across the Triangle area.
Lavenia (Vee) Maxwell
Family Support Associate
With years of experience in child welfare, Vee brings both expertise and compassion to serving families in crisis through Safe Families. Vee is dedicated to supporting volunteers and loves building relationships with families, helping them feel connected and supported.
Angela Martin
Assistant Director
With a background in behavior therapy and management, Angela supports Safe Families’ local operations and community outreach. Angela is passionate about ensuring the Raleigh/Durham chapter’s processes are both helpful and efficient, so families and volunteers feel supported every step of the way.
Debra Mobley
FAMILY SUPPORT ASSOCIATE
With a passion for outreach and a heart for building meaningful relationships, Debra Mobley brings a wealth of experience in community engagement, anti-trafficking programming, and project management. She is dedicated to serving others by supporting volunteers and families, connecting them with the right people and resources to thrive.
