We Accept Referrals
Refer A Family
Do you know a parent facing a crisis alone? Safe Families for Children exists to surround families facing crisis in isolation with compassionate volunteers providing relationships and resources.
How We Support Families in Crisis

Family Friend
A Family Friend will encourage parents in crisis as a friend and be available to help with the practical elements of meeting the parents’ goals, such as scheduling, transportation, meals, and more.
Family Coach
A Family Coach helps identify, set, and achieve the goals parents have for themselves and their family during and after this crisis. Our staff and coaches regularly work in partnership with other agencies to support families.
Host Families
If desired, a Host Family can provide temporary care for children in their home. Host families keep parents regularly updated on their child(ren) and work to schedule time for visits and phone calls.
All volunteers are background-checked, trained, supervised by staff, and are not compensated for service. We are not a foster care or adoption agency. SFFC and its volunteers do not take custody of children. On average, it takes SFFC about seven days to build a Circle of Support.
